Greetings, Panthers! I'm Mrs. Parker, and as the PACE specialist/Social Studies teacher for 6th grade, I am beginning my 12th year at Schimelpfenig!  I have been around the district, however, since the late 1980's when my teaching career began in the 5th grade classroom at Brinker Elementary, where I taught for 5 years. My husband and I then raised our sons in PISD while I actively volunteered for PTA boards/committees and booster clubs at 6 Plano schools over 17 years, earning the Texas PTA Life Membership! Sons are now grown and, as I adore history, traveling, and all things "artsy", I was delighted to return to the classroom teaching 6th graders about World Cultures, Geography and Humanities! Get ready for a fun and challenging year as we explore the world and travel through time!
