March 31, 2020 - Public health remains the number one priority for our students, families and staff. Additionally, Governor Abbott ordered today that all schools are to remain closed through May 1, 2020, unless otherwise extended. For those reasons, and in the interest of public health and doing everything in our power to limit the spread of COVID-19, Plano ISD schools and facilities will remain closed through May 1. As the school closure has progressed beyond April 3, information will be coming regarding the Phase 3 implementation of remote learning. Effective Monday, April 6, new rules from the Texas Department of Agriculture require that parents picking up free meals from the district must bring documentation for children who are not in the vehicle. Please note that verification is not required when children are present with a parent during meal pickup. When present, any child 18 years of age or under can receive a grab-and-go meal. Read More.
