My name is Chris Brochtrup, and I am proud to be a Schimelpfenig Panther!  I am from The Colony, Texas, received a Bachelor's Degree in Health, Physical Education, Recreation from the Kansas Wesleyan University as well as my first Masters of Business Administration in Sports Management. I received my second Masters of Science in Special Education from Kansas State University.  I am certified to teach Physical Education and Special Education, Kindergarden through 12th grade. This will be my fourth year at Schimelpfenig in a new role - Athletic Director and Head Football Coach.

I have a true passion for working with our future leaders of America!  Helping each student progress in all areas of their development—academic, social, and physical —is a challenge that I am honored to accept daily.  I strive to create a community of learners that nurtures this growth in a positive, fun environment. 

This year I will serve as Schim's Head Coach in Football and Track & Field. I have a total of 12 years coaching experience in Football, and 11 years experience in Track & Field. I firmly believe sports in schools help prepare students to face the challenges of life. They enhance the physical and mental abilities of students and help them achieve the goals of their life. I truly believe sports aide in enhancing leadership skills and in improving capacity for goal setting and character building.
