Hello, Panthers! I'm Mrs. Teague, Mathematics Department Chair, and I will be teaching Math Rocks 6, Math 7 and Math 7 Honors this year. This is my fifth year teaching middle school math at Schimelpfenig, after teaching 5th grade math for 12 years at Harrington Elementary in Plano. I grew up in Denton, Texas, and have lived in Plano for over 25 years.
My husband, Chris, and I are proud graduates of Texas A&M University, and I'm a 3rd generation Aggie. I also hold a master's degree in Counseling and Student Services from University of North Texas.
I have three kids who all graduated from Plano schools. Philip is a UNT graduate and an Army veteran. Margaret is a Stephen F. Austin graduate, a Texas A&M master's graduate, and teaches deaf education in Plano ISD. Andrew is a Texas A&M graduate.
I love SUMMER, being outdoors, working in the garden and home improvement. I also love traveling, singing in the church choir, and entertaining family and friends.
My favorite thing about teaching mathematics is watching my students transform into confident mathematicians and develop a love and appreciation for mathematics in our world.
