Mrs. Kelly Hamilton
Librarian
Experience in Education: I started my teaching and library career with Plano ISD in 1993. Since Hunt opened in 2005, I have been a part of its team. My experience also includes working at Meadows Elementary and Bethany Elementary. Throughout my career, I have had the honor of being named Teacher of the Year three times.
Background: I am a Plano native and attended PISD schools K-12. I graduated from Plano East as did both my children and both of my parents worked for PISD. I guess you could say my PISD roots run very deep. I have had the honor of receiving Meadows Elem. Teacher of the Year, Hunt Elem. Teacher of the Year twice, and the Hunt PTA Honorary Lifetime Membership Award.
Interests: I enjoy spending time with my family. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, crafting, and watching baseball.
"There is massive evidence that self-selected reading, or reading what you want to read, is responsible for most of our literacy development."- Stephen Krashen
