5th Grade Teacher

Experience in Education:  I have been working at Hunt since it opened in 2005.  I spent the first two years at Hunt in 4th grade and then moved to 5th grade in the 2007-2008 school year.  I also spent nine years teaching fourth grade in Rockwall and five years teaching 5th and 6th grade in Dallas.

Background: I was born and raised in Needham, Massachusetts. After graduating from a college in Boston, MA., I was recruited by DISD and began my teaching career in Dallas.  I fell in love with the Dallas area and have lived here ever since.  I have had the honor of being Teacher of the Year at Hunt Elementary in the 2017-2018 school year, at Amy Parks-Heath Elementary Rockwall in the 2003-2004 school year, and at Jesus Moroles Expressive Arts Vanguard in Dallas for the 1995-1996 school year.

Interests: reading, working out, and spending time with friends and family
