Third Grade Teacher

Experience in Education: Student Teacher:  Student taught at Hunt Elementary for the spring semester and fall semester of 2014 in the 2nd and 3rd grades. Long-Term Substitute:  Advanced and Regular 5th-grade Math in Wylie ISD for the spring of 2015.  3rd-grade teacher:  Hunt Elementary 3rd-grade teacher from 2015- present

Background:  I was born in Dallas and grew up in Mesquite, Texas.  I earned a degree in Culinary Arts in 2004 from the Art Institute of Dallas and decided to make a giant leap of faith to pursue a career in my true passion, teaching and working with young scholars.  I received my bachelor’s degree from A&M Commerce and spend my days with the most amazing little people I know.  Hunt is my home, where the outstanding students, creative and dedicated staff, and incredible parent community make this the perfect place for everyone to learn and grow.  

My wonderful husband is a high school algebra teacher and head tennis coach for Carrollton ISD.  We have four beautiful children.  My family is my support system and they mean the world to me.  

Interests: In my spare time, I love to explore new places and travel to new destinations with my family.  I am also an avid baker as well as a cook.  Discovering new dishes and testing them on my friends and family is one of my favorite things to do.  Love all things scary as well as Superheroes.
