Mrs. Carrie Hare

4th Grade Teacher

Experience in Education: I come from a family full of teachers, and this will be my 14th year as an educator. I have taught Early Childhood, Kindergarten, and secondary ESL classes (grades 6-12). For the past 8 years, I have served as a district special programs coordinator for a large charter school system in Dallas-Fort Worth. This will be my first year in Plano ISD and my first year at Hunt Elementary as a 4th grade teacher. I am very excited to be a part of this outstanding school community!

Background: I grew up in San Diego, California before moving to Tucson, Arizona to attend college. In 2008 I moved to the North Texas area for graduate school. Shortly before graduating with my Master's degree, I met my husband, who was born and raised in Dallas. We have been married for over 10 years - we have 2 sons and 2 dogs. Our boys also go to Hunt Elementary!

Interests: My personal interests include all things Harry Potter and all Dallas Sports teams, with hockey being my favorite to watch. GO STARS! I also enjoy cooking/baking, being out in nature, reading, listening to audiobooks or podcasts, and watching movies.
