The Laser Organization
LASER club is committed to promoting research and experimentation in the sciences. This districtwide organization searches out talented youth, encourages participation in science fairs, symposia and other competitive events, recognizes their accomplishments, and encourages their continued interest and participation in the sciences and engineering.
Club members participate in a variety of activities including: local and overnight field trips, lectures by prominent scientists, presenting scientific programs to elementary students, community service projects, and independent research.
Advantages of membership are:
- Direct teacher/student interaction
- Experience in application of science
- Awareness of opportunities in science careers
- Participation in activities which may increase acceptance and scholarship opportunities at universities.
Membership in LASER is limited.
