I grew up on a dairy farm in central Minnesota.

I attended Bemidji State University (B.S. in Music Education) and the University of North Texas (Master of Music Degree).

I have lived in Montana, Washington, and Texas.

During my career, I have taught band, choir, elementary music, and physical education.

This will be my 16th year as a Mathews Maverick!

I am in my 35th year of teaching.  I first taught Music (K-12) in Montana for two years.

Before coming to Plano ISD, I taught in Aubrey and Lake Dallas.

In my spare time, I enjoy teaching and playing the piano; as well as hiking, traveling, bicycling, reading, and home improvement projects!
