Mrs. Juanita Hall
I love being a part of the Mathews family. I have been a teacher at Mathews Elementary since 2004, so this will be my 21st year at this school. Before coming to Mathews, I spent several years teaching in private schools in the Dallas area.
I was born in Alabama but have lived in Texas since 1988. I received my undergraduate degree from Southwestern University in Waxahachie, Texas, and a Master of Education Degree in Elementary Education from Texas A&M-Commerce in 1999. I completed the two-year Take Flight program training program from Scottish Rite Hospital for Children and this is my fourth year to serve as the Dyslexia Specialist at Mathews. I intend to become a Certified Academic Language Therapist after the training and clinical prerequisites have been met. I enjoy watching Investigation Discovery on TV in my free time since I like detective shows and reading crime novels. I love going on cruises during summer break. Children always ask me about favorites. My favorite book series is Anne of Green Gables, my favorite subject in school was history, my favorite flavor of ice cream is jamoca almond fudge, and my favorite color is blue. In addition, I am a dog person. Chihuahuas are my absolute favorite dogs. I have had two, but they have long since passed away.
I am looking forward to another fantastic year.
