About Our Schools
Plano
ISD's 71 schools feature award-winning architecture,
state-of-the-art technology, and well-maintained
grounds. As beacons of knowledge in our masterfully-planned
and celebrated Plano community,
our schools and administrative facilities house approximately 55,000+ students and nearly 7,000 employees.
Schools & Grade Levels
The Plano school system
is structured in five educational phases: elementary
schools - early childhood (prek/PPCD), elementary (grades
K-5); secondary schools - middle (grades 6-8), high (grades 9 & 10) and senior
high (grades 11 & 12).
Safety & Security
 Plano ISD
provides a comprehensive safety & security program designed to provide students, staff and visitors with
facilities that meet or exceed standards in fire
safety, air quality, hazardous materials management,
chemical safety and building safety. A video surveillance
system in every school is just one of the many safety features
implemented across the school district.

Plano ISD's construction

details of current capital bond projects. Our community has passed several bond
elections to fund major renovations, capital improvements,
systems compliance and technology
initiatives.
