    SPRING ASSESSMENT REFERRAL INFORMATION

    HAGGARD MIDDLE SCHOOL

     

    PACE (Plano Academic Creative Education) provides services for academically gifted students who have demonstrated a need for advanced, differentiated instruction.  Students may be referred by teachers, parents, administrators, counselors, or by the students themselves.

    Referral applications for Spring PACE testing must be submitted by January 12th, 2023 at 5:00 pm.

    Students will be assessed at their home campus during the regular school day; specific information regarding spring testing dates and times will be made available in early February.

    Current PACE students do not need to retest.

  • 2024-2025 Textbooks Available for Review

    All textbooks up for adoption, for implementation beginning in the 2024-25 school year, are available for review by the public.

    The subject areas and courses up for adoption are Science K-12, Career and Technology Education, Personal Financial Literacy and Economics, AP US History, AP Government, AP Comparative Government, AP Psychology, AP Human Geography, AP European History, AP Micro Economics and AP Macro Economics.  Read more for textbook adoption information, including how to review the materials and provide input. 

    The window for public review and comment, for any of the resources being considered in this adoption, is open until January 31, 2024.

  • Long Range Facility Planning Community Meetings 

    As part of Plano ISD’s ongoing strategic roadmapping process and as the district begins work on a long range facility plan, Plano ISD families, staff and community members are invited to attend and participate in a community input meeting near you. Tutorial Schedule

  • Morning tutorials are from 7:45-8:15 am and afternoon tutorials are from 3:45-4:15 pm.

    Monday : Science

    Tuesday: Math

    Wednesday: English

    Thursday: History and Foreign Language

    Friday: In the morning - by appointment only
    No afternoon tutorials on Friday

    Tutorial Helpful Hints:

    • Check with your teacher ahead of time if you can.
    • If your teacher is not available, check with another teacher who teaches the same class.
    • Be on time- If you arrive too late you will not be able to attend tutorials.
    • Come prepared (supplies, specific questions, assignments).
    • Have a plan to get home in the afternoon.
