Hi! My name is Gabriela Carrera-Aguirre and I am thrilled to be teaching preschool at Memorial Elementary. I have been living in Plano for more than 25 years. I obtained my B.A. at the University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP) and my MBA at the University of Texas at Dallas (UTD). At Memorial Elementary, we are student-centered. We love and know the importance of not only equipping our students with academic, but also social and emotional skills that will last a lifetime. I firmly believe in a teacher-parent relationship, so together we can promote and foster our children's growth in all aspects. It inspires me to see all our kiddos reach their full potential starting when they are four years old and come to my classroom! When I am not at school, I love to spend time with my family. I enjoy watching movies, reading, online shopping, traveling and tennis. I am sure we will have a wonderful year!

    Memorial Elementary means a lot to me, as it provides a platform where we learn the value of collective effort to benefit our community as a whole. Our students learn self control, truthfulness, kindness, duty and many other good qualities along with academics. People at Memorial are like a family, we always help and encourage each other to do our best!
