K-5 Reading Coach

As a child, I always wanted to be a teacher. It has been a joy to live out my dream in Plano ISD. I have been an educator in the district for 20 years. Over that time, I have taught 7th, 5th, and 1st grade. My greatest passion is sharing my love of reading with students. I believe reading is the foundation for all learning. As an educator, I want all students to feel safe and secure while at school. I strive to have all students reach their full potential in all areas. I believe all learning should be intentional and collaborative. When I am not at school, I enjoy spending time with my family. I have been married to Jeff for 27 years and we have 2 children. Shelby is an OSU graduate and works as a case manager for foster children. Macy Claire attends East Texas Baptist University in Marshall, Texas and will be a sophomore this year. I enjoy traveling, cooking for my family, shopping, and loving our 2 dogs: Daisy and Bella.
