My teaching philosophy is I believe every child deserves a fair chance to water his/her seeds of knowledge and to foster the rarity, that is individuality. I will promote a safe space where all ideas are welcomed. I will work to build self-confidence and acceptance of one’s self and others. I will build good moral character by helping students understand the values of respect, kindness, and patience. I hope to guide, not lead, so that students will be facilitators of their own learning. Plano is my second hometown as I spent the later years of my childhood here. I am originally from the beautiful island of Jamaica. I attended Texas A&M University-Commerce where I received a Bachelor's Degree in Biology. I also received a Master's degree in Forensic Science from Sam Houston State University. I developed my love for teaching while in college. It is such a rewarding job, and I am looking forward to working with the students this year.
