Third Grade Rocks!

 

Hello! Here is a little bit about me. I have a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with a minor in Bilingual education from the University of North Texas, and I am certified to teach EC-4. This is going to be my 19th year at Memorial Elementary. This year I will be teaching Dual Language third grade Reading/ Language Arts and Social Studies. I have had the pleasure of having taught 1st-4th during my teaching career here at this marvelous school, and every summer I teach PreK summer school. I am a proud Texan and Mexican American. I love reading, being at the beach, listening to music, binging my TV shows, and spending time with my dog, Frankie. I have three wonderful children. My two boys have graduated and are now attending college and working hard. My baby girl is currently in middle school. I love teaching and hope to instill a love of books and learning in all of my students. I hope my student's dream big, work hard, try new things, leave their mark on the world and be an amazing rockstar in this beautiful world. 

 

 

  • What Memorial means to me.

    I absolutely love Memorial and its welcoming environment. I have only taught at Memorial Elementary since I started back in 2004, and I am so lucky to still be working here. I have met so many wonderful families and have had the privilege of teaching their younger siblings and family members throughout the years. All three of my children have attended Memorial Elementary school from kindergarten to fifth grade and have great memories.  I have made many wonderful friends here and truly believe "Once a Bobcat, Always a Bobcat!"
