Career and Technical Education (CTE) Program
The purpose of the CTE program is to develop the academic knowledge, technical, and employability skills of secondary education students who enroll in CTE programs and programs of study. The funds are used to:
- Prepare students for high skill, high wage, or in-demand occupations
- Integrate rigorous and challenging academic instruction, and link secondary education and postsecondary education
- Provide services and activities designed to develop, implement, and improve CTE
- Promote leadership, professional development, and improve the quality of CTE teachers, faculty and staff
- Support partnerships
- Increase the employment opportunities for populations who are chronically unemployed or underemployed
