Plano ISD Medication Policy
Please follow the guidelines below when sending medication to school:
- All medications must be brought to the clinic for administration.
- All medication must have the child's name on the container.
- Only medication that cannot be given at home will be given at school.
- Send only the number of doses your child will need at school.
- Keep the remainder at home.
- Send medication in the original container. Prescription medication must have the student's name and the pharmacy label on the bottle. Ask the pharmacist for a school bottle.
- Medication(s) that have expired or are not picked up at the end of the school year will be destroyed per PISD policy.

This is the college's dental hygiene program where the students provide the dental hygiene care under the watchful eye of professional instructors. No extractions, no fillings -

Dental care such as examinations, x-rays, sealants, cleaning, fillings, extractions, emergency care for children covered by Medicaid or CHIPS or who qualify for reduced-rate fees (not sliding scale) based on household income. Reduced-rate fees offered for adult services which also include dentures (full and partial), crowns, ad non-surgical gum treatment.
