Achievements
Earned an "Exemplary" rating under the Texas AEIS accountability system for the 2008-09 and 2007-08 school years.
Band awards include:
Symphonic Band – Division 1 at Murchison Festival; Sweepstakes for Concert 1 at UIL; Division 1 for Concert 2 at Sandy Lake Festival and Division 1 for Beginning Band at Sandy Lake Festival.
Choir awards included:
Excellent rating for Tenor/Bass choir and superior rating for Treble Choir.
Orchestra awards included: Superior rating for the Advanced Orchestra and the Chamber Orchestra in the UIL contests.
Campus Programs
Programs offered at Hendrick include: English as a Second Language (ESL); Plano Academic Creative Education (PACE) for identified gifted and talented students; Peer Assisted Leadership (PAL); special education; athletics; National Junior Honor Society; science / environmental club; math counts; Whiz Quiz; student council; yearbook; NOVA; mock trial; geography bee; spelling bee; cheerleading; science fair; career day; and Watch D.O.G.S. (a program for our dads to be visible in our school).
Parent Involvement Opportunities
The Hendrick Parent / Teacher Association (PTA) provides scholarships for school supplies; orders gym clothes for students; volunteers throughout the school; grants "wishes" for the teachers; and serves on committees to support the school. Parents and community members are active participants in the School-Based Improvement Committee (SBIC) who set goals for the school year and work to achieve those goals.

Hendrick maintains a local partnership with Big Brothers and Big Sisters of North Texas.
