Mrs. Lasma Jekabsone-Berrouet
Greetings Robinson Family!
New and returning families- welcome to Robinson. I am excited to start my second year as principal at Robinson. I have been an educator for 15 years and my experience spans from middle to high school in various school districts as a Math teacher and coach, and an assistant principal.
I grew up in Latvia, a small country in Northern Europe, and an athletic scholarship brought me to Florida International University in Miami, Florida, where I pursued my undergraduate degree. In addition, I earned a Master’s degree in Mathematics from Texas A&M University in Central Texas and Principal Certification from Lamar University.
On a personal note, my husband Richard and I have two sons- Benjamin (14) and Collin (11). We are an active family- we spend time together either playing basketball or watching our boys play on their teams. We also enjoy traveling, swimming and going for walks.
I strongly believe that the school's success depends on maintaining a shared vision for the students that we serve. I am committed to focusing on the right work and always doing what is best for our students so that they can grow and maximize their potential. Education is a collaborative effort between parents, teachers, staff, and the wider community, so I wholeheartedly welcome your input, feedback and active participation in school events, programs, and initiatives. Please know that my door is always open.
I am honored and eager to continue our journey together as we celebrate Robinson's 30th anniversary this year!
