Mr. Connor MacAllister
Connor MacAllister is a music educator based out of Plano, Texas and is starting his fourth year of teaching as the Associate Director of Bands at Robinson Middle School. Mr. MacAllister teaches the beginning woodwind classes, the Symphonic Band, Concert Band and assists with the Wind Ensemble. He joined the Robinson Middle School staff in 2021 after graduating Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor's Degree in Music Education from Texas Tech University. Wreck 'Em!!
At Texas Tech, Mr. MacAllister studied Oboe under the mentorship of Prof. Amy Anderson. As a performer, Mr. MacAllister has performed with all of the Concert Bands at Texas Tech, including the Symphonic Wind Ensemble’s 2018 Midwest performance, a multitude of chamber ensembles, the University Symphony Orchestra and The Goin’ Band, where he was one of the Drum Majors for two years. Along with performing and teaching in music programs in Lubbock, Mr. MacAllister served as the Vice President of Service for the Alpha Omicron Chapter of Kappa Kappa Psi for two years. Mr. MacAllister assisted with the establishment and continuation of the “TTU Swing Dance Jazz Band” and the charitable event “A Night of Swing,” as well as several other large scale service events in the Lubbock Area. Mr. MacAllister is currently a member of the Oboe section in the Carrollton Wind Symphony.
His professional affiliations are the Texas Music Educators Association, Texas Bandmasters Association, Kappa Kappa Psi, and Pi Kappa Lambda. During his free time, he enjoys watching movies, spending time with his friends and family, playing video and table top role-playing games, reading, writing, and running! He lives in Plano with his fiancé , Kathryn, who is also a middle school band director in Garland ISD. They have two cats named Elfie & Chai. Mr. MacAllister is excited to start year four and looking forward to creating connections with students through the Art of Music.

8th: Beginning PercussionStudents in Symphonic Band and Wind Ensemble will be required to attend one section rehearsal each week. These rehearsals are scheduled by section either before school (7:20-8:10am) or after school (3:40-4:30pm).
