Mrs. Katerin Oliver

Hello! I am very excited about joining the Robinson family and the Plano community this school year! This is my 19th year in education, first year in Plano.

I started my career in Irving ISD as a paraprofessional working in the special education department at Austin Middle School and continued as a special education teacher the following year, teaching study skills and supporting students in the general education classroom.  After four years at Austin MS, I transferred to Singley Academy, the CTE campus in Irving ISD, as a special education teacher and had the privilege of leading the department for the last 3 years. I was also honored to be named Teacher of the Year for the 2022-2023 school year by my peers.

Preparing students for the next stage in their life brings me a tremendous amount of joy. My goal is to support students where they need it, focusing on self-advocacy, social/emotional aspects, and academics.  

I love spending time with my husband John and my daughter Sofia, going to the movies, trying out new restaurants, going to the park and swimming (weather permitting). We also love traveling to California to visit family.
