Mrs. Indira Curtis
DL Kinder Teacher
My name is Indira Curtis and I teach Dual Language Kindergarten. I have been at Memorial since 2004 and have enjoyed every minute of it. I was born and raised in Panama City, Panama. I graduated from the University of Texas at Dallas where I obtained a Bachelor’s in Interdisciplinary Studies. I live with my husband and have two daughters and a granddaughter. Some of my hobbies are weightlifting, reading non-fiction, traveling, gardening, hiking, spending time with family, and paddleboarding. Teaching is my passion, and I will continue to make a difference in a child’s life until I retire.
“Every child deserves a champion; an adult who will never give up on them, who understands the power of connection, and insists that they become the best they can possibly be.” Rita Pierson
What Memorial means to me.
I have been part of the Memorial Family for over 18 years and I am very proud to be one of the pillars of this wonderful institution. Memorial has helped me grow not only in my professional career but also as a person because it has taught me humility, empathy, passion, patience, collaboration, grace, and optimism. Memorial has shaped me over the years to be a better teacher; to always persevere against any obstacles to help our kids succeed.
