Campus Instructional Specialist

I love spending time with my family and friends.  Hanging out with my pets, reading, watching tv, cheering for the LSU Tigers and Dallas Cowboys are a few things I love to do! I have been teaching for over twenty years, utilizing experience in Second Grade, Third Grade, Dyslexia, and even a bit of Special Education. I am looking forward to working with reading in small groups!  Currently my students will be focusing on phonemic awareness (ability to hear and change sounds), spelling, handwriting, fluency and comprehension.  We will cover all of these areas by using a multi-sensory approach.  It is very interactive with great results in committed students using these interventions.
