Counseling Services

Special Education Counseling is a team of licensed mental health professionals who provide the Related Service of Counseling for students receiving Special Education services.  The decision for eligibility is based on an evaluation of current available data, observation, information from teachers, parents, and the student who is being considered for services. 

The evaluator must answer these key questions: 

• What educational objectives will be supported by counseling? 
• Why is the provision of this service necessary for the student to benefit from their Individual Education Plan?
