Birth to 3 years

Children who are 0 to 3 years old may be served by Plano ISD who have a Visual Impairment (VI), an Auditory Impairment (AI), and/or Deafblindness (DB). Early Childhood Intervention (ECI) makes the referral to the Local Education Agency (LEA) after they have obtained consent from the parent for referral and schedule a meeting with the LEA. 

At the meeting, a Plano ISD evaluation specialist will gather informed consent for evaluation as the child must meet IDEA requirements for VI/AI/or DB eligibility.  Once the eligibility is established, Plano ISD will provide services to the child as designed by the Individual Family Service Plan (IFSP) team.
