Welcome to Ms. Samuel's page! This is my 18th year in Education.  Teaching is my second career; it began in Newport News, VA in 1995 as a self-contained Special Education Teacher!! I really enjoyed my job as a teacher just as much as being a mother and a 'PEACHES' (grandmother).

I am very excited about this school year (2023-24) as Haggard’s Academic Specialist/504 coordinator.   My passion is  working with students, parents, and my colleagues, striving to balance the playing field for students so they can be academically, behaviorally and emotionally successful through the accessibility of accommodations and interventions.  My motto is "Working together to become Positive and Productive Individuals" who are involved in self- monitoring our actions so that we can be better and do better."  I’m looking forward to a productive collaborative partnership with you to ensure your child can achieve their highest potential.
