Dual Language First Grade Teacher
This year marks my 14th year in education. I received my Bachelor's degree from Texas Woman's University in Interdisciplinary Studies with a minor in Bilingual Education. I enjoyed my time at Texas Woman's University so much that I soon returned to get my Master's in Child Development. From a very young age, I knew that I was born to be an educator and impact the lives of as many people as possible. After finishing up my graduate studies, I thought that I was ready to leave the classroom and continue my journey, but in a different way. I went on to work as a Coordinator for the Family Literacy Center in Richardson Independent School District. While I was there, I worked with families of preschool children in a school readiness program. Although I loved what I did and making a difference, I missed working with children so much! After two years out of the classroom, I returned! I now know that my path is to be an educator and work with children! I am excited to be back in the classroom and to continue my journey!
