Jenny McConaughy
Hello, Clark families! My name is Jennifer McConaughy and I am the new lead counselor at Clark High School. Although this is my first year at Clark High School, I have been in Plano ISD since January of 1999. I started my career at Plano East Senior High School as an English and reading teacher. In 2004, I became a counselor at Plano East Senior High School. I have been there up until this year with the exception of 3 years at Lovejoy High School. I love working with high school students as they pursue interests and passions and look toward their own futures. Coming to Clark High School has been a dream come true for me and I look forward to supporting our students, families, and staff for years to come!
I attended high school in Richardson, but my husband attended Clark High School and has very fond memories of his time here. Then, I went to Texas A&M University for my undergraduate degree in English. I finished my Master's degree at Amberton University with several great counselors in Plano ISD and love working in this wonderful district with so many great colleagues and friends.
I have three children ranging in ages from toddler to high schooler. My husband is an AVID teacher at Wilson Middle School. When I am not at Clark High School, I am taking walks with my family, reading a good book, or shopping (when it is safe). We have one hedgehog and four cats at home. We have lots of cousin dogs and love most animals. I enjoy watching a good movie or binging a series with my family.
I am so happy to be a part of the Clark family and encourage you to reach out to me or any counselor on this staff for any needs or concerns.
