  • Plano ISD’s Clark Stadium Is a Designated Mega Center for COVID-19 Vaccinations

    Dear Families,

    Working with officials from the City of Plano and Collin County, Plano ISD confirmed this week that the east (or visitor side) parking lot of Clark Stadium will serve as a vaccination “mega center” for Collin County and the City of Plano. We want to share the following information, as it may affect your daily commute to or near our school.

    Effective Monday, January 25, general traffic will no longer be able to access Stadium Drive off of Spring Creek Parkway, or enter the stadium off of Seabrook Drive, and travel around to the east side of the stadium. Drivers who use this route as a thoroughfare should seek an alternate route and plan accordingly. All CHS related traffic should enter Stadium Drive from Spring Creek Pkwy to access the carpool lane, gymnasium parking, or general parking.

    After two days of setup next week, the vaccination process will open, by appointment only, Wednesday through Friday, January 27–29. Beginning Monday, February 1 and until further notice, the stadium parking lot will be in use for vaccination appointments daily from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., seven days per week.

    The City of Plano will provide officers to direct traffic. Vehicles entering the parking lot at Clark Stadium should not affect carpool or bus access at our Plano ISD schools. Thank you for your understanding and flexibility as everyone works together to provide this valuable service for the citizens of Plano and Collin County.

  • Health Reminder From the Clinic

    As a reminder, please take a moment each day to monitor your children’s health and do not send them to school if they are displaying any COVID-19 symptoms or have tested positive for COVID-19. No one should enter a Plano ISD school or facility if any of the following apply:

    • Sick with symptoms that could be COVID-19. Symptoms to watch for include fever (100°F or higher), cough, shortness of breath/difficulty breathing, chills, muscle pain, headache, sore throat, fatigue, congestion/running nose, nausea/diarrhea, new loss of taste or smell.
    • Has a confirmed case of COVID-19 or has been in close contact with a person with a confirmed case of COVID-19. These individuals must follow all isolation and quarantine guidelines from the local health authority or their physician.
    • Has a household member who is awaiting COVID-19 test results, or who is awaiting their own test results.


    Parents may contact Nurse Phaiksee Chuah at 469-752-7209 or to report student illness or possible exposure.

    Students and staff who have tested positive for COVID-19 or are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 will be permitted to return to school when:

    • They are 24 hours fever-free without using fever-reducing medication; and
    • Symptoms improved (cough, difficulty breathing, etc.); and
    • 10 days have passed since symptoms began


    If a student wants to return to school prior to meeting the above criteria, they must obtain a medical professional’s note clearing them for return based on an alternative diagnosis or receive a negative PCR or antigen test.

    Reminder for Face-to-Face Students: In order for students to enter the hallway in the morning, they will need to scan the QR code and fill out the Google Form. Students must fill out the Google Form prior to entering the hallways for contact tracing purposes.
