Hello! My name is Jak Kurdi and this is my third year in Plano ISD. I am originally from Allen, Texas, but I spent six years in Lubbock, Texas while earning both my bachelor's and master's degrees at Texas Tech University, and I consider it my home. Since I have been at Clark HS, I have been a proud AVID Mentor, Newspaper Club Sponsor, Speech and Debate Judge, and Poetry Slam Coordinator. 

I am a published poet with a passion for language, meaningful conversations, and fostering my students' growth with care, a little bit of humor, and curiosity. If I'm not at school, I'm probably drinking coffee, reading, hanging out with my wife and dogs, writing, or sometimes all four simultaneously.
