Hello, my name is Samina Jiwani, and I have been part of the PISD family since 2012.

As we embark on this academic year, I'm excited to share a bit about myself. This will be my fifth year teaching 6th-grade Social Studies and fourth year teaching PACE, and I bring a wealth of experience. I moved from Illinois in 2011 and have lived in Plano with my family since. In addition to my love for teaching, I am passionate about exploring new cultures through travel and giving back to the community through volunteering. I have proudly served in the Boy Scouts of America since 2013. 

Both of my children graduated from Plano West. Besides English, I can speak four languages.

I am eagerly looking forward to getting to know and working with my students this year. Their learning and development are my top priorities, and I am excited to be a part of their academic journey.
