The Mission of the Hunt Elementary Counseling Program
The mission of the school counseling program at Hunt Elementary is to advocate, support, and prepare all students by creating a continuum of learning in social and emotional development, academic success, and college/career/military readiness development
Counselor Responsibilities
- Assisting students in developing a positive self-esteem
- Meeting with individual students, discussing common concerns with small groups, and leading classroom guidance
- Coordinating the student recognition for exhibiting good behavior & character
- Coordinating the school-wide testing program
- Providing orientation for new students
- Consulting and communicating with parents, faculty, staff, and community
- Chair of campus CARE/CAT/504 Committees
