I was born in Odessa, Texas, but moved to Northern Louisiana when I was 8. I graduated from Grant High School in Dry Prong, La in 2002. I went to Northwestern State University and graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science in Biology with a minor in Chemistry in 2007. I completed the “Teach” program in Louisiana to become a teacher. This is my 14th year teaching. I taught 7th and 8th grade science for 7 years and high school for 4 years in Louisiana. This is only my 3rd year in the great state of Texas.
My husband, Mike, is a security technician and we have 3 kids (Elijah-16, Camryn-14, and Jr-7). We have 2 cats (Smidge and Felix). We both like to spend a lot of time outdoors, traveling, etc. On the weekends, if we aren’t out and about or watching the Dallas Cowboys play football, then we are binge watching shows on Netflix (Ha ha!). So far working for PISD has been amazing and so much fun! I look forward to spending many more years here as part of the PISD family!
