Ms. Kneisel is one of three Assistant Principals at McMillen High School where she is responsible for supporting freshman students and their families as they enter secondary academics. On a mission to restore the passion of learning experienced by both students and teachers alike, she is focused on building strong relationships and creating safe spaces for open communication between educational stakeholders within the community.
Prior to her current role, Ms. Kneisel gained experience in education and leadership as the Special Education Department Chair at McMillen where she served in this capacity for 5 years. Ms. Kneisel has been in the field of Education since the Fall of 2006 and served in a variety of roles, such as English I/English II Teacher, English Curriculum Writing, Behavior Specialist, Special Education Transition/Post-Secondary Planning Specialist, and Special Education Case Manager.
Ms. Kneisel is currently working to increase understanding and implementation of Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) at McMillen High School. MTSS is a whole-child approach that integrates academic, behavioral, and social-emotional instruction and support for students.
Outside of the schoolhouse, Ms. Kneisel enjoys furniture restoration, crafting, and spending time with her family.
