Hi! My name is Allison Compass. 

This will be my 2nd year teaching World History at McMillen High School, but I have over 3 years of experience in education. I first started teaching on the west-side of Plano at Frankford Middle School back in 2021, then transitioned over to high school this past year. It's amazing to be back on the east-side, given that I grew up around the area. I went to Dooley Elementary, then Armstrong Middle School. I was a part of the first freshman class to walk the halls of McMillen when it was built back in 2011. I then went on to Plano East Senior High School and graduated in 2015. I attended Stephen F Austin State University on a track scholarship, and ran all 4 years, accumulating three SLC Championship rings. I love the environment, the culture, and the staff on the east-side. I also enjoy coaching track and field here at my alma mater. Just watching student-athletes compete in their respective sports, brings me back to so many memories. I look forward to teaching each and every year, and just watching the mental growth of students, whether that is in the classroom or on the track, field, court, etc. When I am not teaching or coaching, I love watching and attending sports events, reading, crocheting, and playing the ukulele.

I am a big believer in faith, and so I would like to end this with one of my favorite Bible verses that always motivates me:

"if you have faith the size of a mustard seed, nothing will be impossible for you." (Matthew 17:20-21)
