  • Panther Preview

Calling the Plano East Panther Class of 2025!  We hope everyone will plan on attending the Panther Preview on January 11 from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm.  This is an opportunity for parents and students to learn about academic course offerings at Plano East Senior High School.  This event will be held in the gymnasium.  While in the gym, you will be able to explore numerous course offerings and visit with our amazing teachers.  You will have the opportunity to purchase spirit-wear as you visit the different booster clubs and PTSA.

In addition to learning about the academic course offerings at Plano East, you will have the opportunity to attend the Collin College dual credit meeting.  This will take place in the cafeteria from 6:30-7:30 and will provide you with all the necessary information needed to consider registering for dual credit classes for the 2023-24 school year.

A course selection meeting will begin at 7:45 immediately following the dual credit meeting and will touch on the graduation requirements needed in PISD, information about advanced level courses, and the procedure for selecting courses.

The week of Panther preview, we will send a special message from Mr. King in the form of a video for you to watch.  We hope you will not miss this chance to get your senior high school career off to a great start!!

    · There is no limit on the number of entries per student.

    · All entries should be submitted by Friday Nov 1, 2022 by 11.59pm

    · Questions: email

"What do we win? Is this a contest?"

This is not technically a contest. It is truly a program created to give students a forum to explore the arts and expand their interests and talents.

Students are individually judged on their project and not judged against the other students.

They are judged on how well they explain their art fits the theme, the mastery of the medium used, and their creativity.

Ribbons will be awarded to all entrants, with recognition categories of:

    · Award of Excellence (blue ribbon)

    · Award of Merit (red ribbon)

    · Honorable Mention (white ribbon)

Top entries will advance to Plano ISD Council of PTAs at the beginning of December for the next level judging with the potential to advance to the Texas PTA and National PTA levels.
