Welcome to the 2024-2025 School Year!

I am so excited about being the Dyslexia Therapist this year at Otto Middle School! This is my absolute dream job and I can't wait to work with my students. Growing up, I always knew that I wanted to be a teacher. So, after graduating from Allen High School in 2009, I packed up my things and headed to Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, Texas to earn my Bachelors Degree. I love learning so much, I went back to SFA and got my Master’s degree in Elementary Education with an emphasis as a reading specialist in May 2023.  This is my 11th year in education; prior to becoming a dyslexia therapist, I taught 4th grade ELAR and Social Studies for two years, 5th grade ELAR and Social Studies for two and a half years, interventionist for two years, and 6th grade ELAR for one year. This is my 4th year in this role (and 5th year at Ottto) and I absolutely love working with my students! I can't wait for another amazing year. 

When I am not at school, you can usually find me reading for fun, working on puzzles, cross stitching, spending time with family, seeing a musical at Dallas Broadway, or playing with my cat Ziva.
