I'm starting my 17th year in public education, 19th overall, and beginning my 9th year teaching 8th grade US History, 1st teaching Texas History.  Prior to transferring to Otto, I taught 2 for years at Rice Middle School. Before Rice, I worked as an instructional coach for social studies for 10 years but wanted to return to my roots helping students succeed. Long before entering public education, I taught philosophy at Oklahoma State University. When not working or parenting, I enjoy coaching my kids' sports teams, gardening, home improvement projects, and reading about history, philosophy, and education.
