Mr. Daren Causey, M.A.

My name is Daren Causey, and this is my 25th year in education. I was the education outreach coordinator at The Dallas Museum of Art for three years, and then made the move to Plano ISD. I have worked at Davis Elementary, Haggard Middle School, Clark High School, and now proudly serve Vines High School. In my PISD journey, I have been a yearbook advisor, assistant theatre director, set designer/builder, scenic painter, and tennis coach, all while doing what I am most passionate about: tearching visual art. We all experience drawing, and self-expression in our youth. It is a natural extension of our human creativity. As we mature, many of us lose that ability to freely create as we did when we were children. We stop the process of creative growth when we start listening to the critics; both outward and inward. My educational aim is to help students reconnect with the creative energies we all possess, hone skills, creatively/artistically grow, and push forward in our learning journies, with the ability to utilize our creative skills to achieve personal success.
