This is my sixth year teaching at Barksdale Elementary and my fourth in fifth grade. I previously taught third grade and am now passionate about teaching fifth graders! I am a former Barksdale Bronco and loved attending school here all six years as a child. 

After graduating from Plano West Senior High School, I attended Texas A&M University and earned a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies degree. I then continued my education at Texas A&M and earned a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction. Gig' em Aggies! In my free time, I enjoy reading, shopping, traveling, watching Aggie football, and spending time with my family and tabby cat, Charlie. 

I fell in love with teaching during my time as a student at Barksdale Elementary and continue to love it even more to this day. I want each of my students to know that they are loved and cared for each day in my classroom, while also feeling challenged and motivated to always do their best.
