This will be my first year teaching at Barksdale Elementary. I grew up in the Plano School System, where I attended Boggess Elementary, Schell Elementary, Otto Middle School, Williams High School, and Plano East Senior High School. After graduating from Plano East Senior High, I earned my Associates of Arts at Collin College and then transferred to The University of Houston and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a minor in Religious Studies. 

Go Coogs! Currently, I am getting my Alternative Teaching Certification through Texas Teachers. In the future, I plan to go back to school and obtain my License to Professional Counsel. 

In my free time, I enjoy watching movies (specifically romantic comedies or Disney), driving around listening to music, baking, watching football GO COWBOYS!!, and spending time with family and friends. I fell in love with being around students while I was a camp counselor at Pine Cove Summer Camps starting back in 2022, and fell in love with teaching when I became a substitute teacher in Richardson Independent School District and discovered that I love it so much and couldn’t imagine myself doing anything else! 

I want each of my students to feel believed in, cherished, loved, and seen inside and outside my classroom, while also being challenged and motivated to always do their best.
