Hello there!

I'm so excited to be starting my 4th year teaching at Barksdale. Over the summer, I had the opportunity to teach summer school for Kindergarten again! This school year I will be teaching 5th Grade! 

My belief in teaching is- EVERYONE CAN. I believe that if someone is willing to learn and grow, then they can accomplish it, they can succeed, and they can grow. It is my philosophy that what students are exposed to and develop when they are younger has a big impact on their developing identity and the rest of their lives. It is my mission to instill the belief that they can do whatever they set their minds to.

Just wanted to share a little bit about myself! I'm from Lewisville, Texas and I graduated from the University of North Texas with my Bachelor's of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies. Now, I'm back at UNT pursuing my master's in Educational Leadership and will be expected to graduate this upcoming May! When I'm not busy with school, I absolutely love traveling, indulging in Pilates, and cherishing precious moments with my loved ones.
