I am originally from London, England and moved to Dallas in 2001. I graduated from the University of Texas at Arlington with a Bachelor of Science degree in Interdisciplinary Studies. This is my 14^th year teaching at Barksdale. After teaching third grade for 8 years, I took on the role as the Instructional Specialist for 5 years, supporting all grade levels in their efforts to help each child reach his/her academic goals. I am now the Dyslexia support teacher and a Certified Academic Language Therapist and deliver the multisensory therapy to students' identified with dyslexia on our campus. When I am not teaching, I like to go to the movies and spend time with my family and friends.
