Although I am technically a Jersey girl, I have called Plano my home for most of my life. My husband, Mike,  and I have been happily married for over twenty-seven years, and we have been blessed with twins who graduated from Plano West Senior High School.

I graduated from Plano Senior High School before going on to earn a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies degree with dual specializations in reading and early childhood studies from Stephen F. Austin State University.  I continued my education and earned a Master of Education with an emphasis in reading curriculum and instruction from the University of North Texas.

This is my 30th year teaching in Plano ISD, and twenty-nine of those years have been at Barksdale Elementary School.  I love my job, learning, and learning from the boys and girls I have the privilege of teaching each day.
