Hi! My name is Sara Leightman, and I am so excited to be on the Kindergarten team at Barksdale!! I attended Plano schools beginning in Kindergarten, and I am a proud Plano West graduate. I went to Indiana University where I got my degree in Early Childhood Education, Go Hoosiers! I always knew I wanted to come back to Plano to teach, and I am so happy to have that opportunity here at Barksdale. Outside of school, I love spending time with my family, browsing Target or Home Goods, reading, and swimming.

I got married last October to my husband, Adam, and this summer we got a precious golden retriever puppy, Scottie! 

 I am looking forward to partnering with you and your child to have the best Kindergarten year!
