Ms. Kneisel is one of four Assistant Principals at McMillen High School. On a mission to restore the passion of learning experienced by both students and teachers alike, she is focused on building strong relationships and creating safe spaces for open communication between educational stakeholders within the community. Ms. Kneisel is currently working to increase understanding and implementation of Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) at McMillen High School. MTSS is a whole-child approach that integrates academic, behavioral, and social-emotional instruction and support for students.
Prior to her current role Ms. Kneisel gained experience in education and leadership through various roles, including: Special Education Department Chair, English I/English II Teacher, English Curriculum Writer, Behavior Specialist, Special Education Transition/Post-Secondary Planning Specialist, and Special Education Case Manager.
Outside of the schoolhouse, Ms. Kneisel enjoys furniture restoration, crafting, and spending time with her family.
