Mr. Alexander Nguyen
Hello Plano ISD students, staff, and parents!
My name is Mr. Nguyen, pronounced like “Mr. Win”. I grew up in Plano ISD through 10th grade, including Williams High School on the Plano East side of the district. I finished my high school years at a dual-credit program called Richland Collegiate High School (RCHS) based at Dallas College. From there, I went on to the University of Texas at Dallas (UTD) where I graduated with a BA in Mathematics and a Minor in STEM Education through the UTeach Dallas program. I completed my student teaching at Berkner High School in Richardson ISD and officially started my teaching career at Frankford Middle School in 2024.
My mission is to facilitate mastery learning in a classroom that provides students a sense of belonging. Learning math prepares students with not only academic skills for future careers in STEM, but also skills that they can use throughout the rest of their lives including logic, number sense, problem-solving, and teamwork. Mathematics helps us see patterns in nature and the world around us, developing an appreciation for life and human ingenuity.
My faith is the driving force behind my mission, my continual striving for self-improvement, and my appreciation of mathematics, music, and storytelling. Lastly, for class information, please join the respective Google Classroom using the codes provided in class or on my teaching portfolio website: https://sites.google.com/view/think-win-nguyen
