I've been asked, "Why are you a teacher?" It's easy! There's a real need to help the recent immigrants to our country. If we want to continue to be a proud nation that welcomes immigrants, this daughter of an immigrant wants to do her part by teaching the English language and helping kids enjoy and succeed in their new country.
Frankford is the place to be for middle school students who are new to the country or new to the English language.
I'm the "beginners" English teacher and the head of the school's ESL department. I teach our newcomers reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills. This will be my 10th year teaching and my 6th at Frankford.
In my spare time, I'll be traveling to Austin to visit my Longhorn daughters (Hook 'em!). I've picked up cycling, so you might see me exploring Dallas neighborhoods as I huff and puff and work on endurance.
I love to travel and I love watching movies, so I'm excited about the re-opening of movie theaters. It's going to be another great year here at Frankford and I look forward to working with your kids!
